1. Perhaps there was a misunderstanding, but I had asked specifically and you confirmed (in writing) that the windows in the ocean view room upstairs would have coverings installed (as complained about by previous guest reviews). Well they didn't. The HUGE sliding doors and adjacent windows had no way to be covered. My wife dressed in the closet for 4 days and had no way to block the light out when she wanted to sleep in. Very disappointing, and honestly I felt taken. Why would you say they were installed when they weren't?
2. The kitchen was not supplied very well. We like to bake, drink wine and champagne when we are at the beach and the house had ZERO champagne glasses, only 2 wine glasses and little to no baking tools (measuring utensils etc.) I don't expect a gourmet kitchen, but this place is nearly the MOST EXPENSIVE house in Rockaway and to have only two wine glasses is a shame. Again very disappointing.
3. The toilet upstairs would not flush very well. Obviously in need of some repair. During one plunging episode we did pull out two bars of soap tied together with dental floss....was this placed in there on purpose? Disgusting!
4. The house was not ready at check in time. There was a sign on the door telling us not to enter because the house was not ready. It was over a half hour before your employee came and cleared the house. Your contract is very explicit that early arrival or late departure will incur a $75 fine, "strictly enforced". I assume that in the spirit of not having a double standard, we will be refunded $75 for not having the home ready at check in time. Guess not....the rules don't apply to you.
5. The kitchen stove had a very annoying intermittent beeping. One of us finally read the instruction booklet and discovered that this can happen when the air filter is clogged. Well guess what, is was disgustingly clogged. We cleaned it and the beeping stopped. The cleaning fee on thi

In response to this review, we had installed blinds on all the windows except the ocean facing windows per the home owners request prior to this guest checking in. We are very sorry about the clogged air filter on the stove. We have found that the stove is still beeping so the filter wasn't the problem. We are in the process of having a new stove installed. We would have been more then happy to immediately bring more wine glasses had we been informed. The home was ready for check-in minus the supplies. The Quality Checker arrived within minutes of the guests arrival. She apologized and quickly delivered the house supplies. We are very sorry for our guests troubles and refunded the cleaning fee even though cleaning wasn't an issue.
